he Northland Gay Men's Center has been an active GLBT
organization in Northern Minnesota, Northern Wisconsin and
Michigan's Upper Peninsula since November 1992.  Each year we
strive to empower our members to step beyond the shadow of the
closet and become active and enriched.  Our ongoing support groups
for queer youth, gay and bisexual men, GLBT people over 50 years
of age and transgender are the cornerstone of our yearly effort.
We enrich the community by providing a lending library, active
participation in local, state and national initiatives, community and
social events.

We continue to provide a supportive environment for affirmation and
exploration of lifestyle by creating an atmosphere for self-acceptance,
self-esteem and positive social interaction.  NGMC has been at the
forefront of social change through activism in local press, through
speaking engagements and participation in various community events
that have made us recognized and visible.
